Harman Miller Brown, 93, of Broadway, died Wednesday, April 19, 2006 at Rockingham Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Brown was born Nov. 18, 1912 in Augusta County and was the son of the late Isaac Michael Guy and Mary Catherine Brown Miller.

He worked at Lantz Construction before retiring, and had worked in the hatchery business for a number of years. He attended Bridgewater College. He was a member of Timberville Church of the Brethren.

In Nov. 1938 he married the former Wilda Garber; she died Aug. 2, 1968. In November 1970 he married the former Mildred Lohr; she survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Janie Runion of Harrisonburg and Dorothy Hogan of Houston, Texas; one son, Kent Brown of Bridgewater; two stepsons, Charles and John Lohr, both of Broadway, eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

The Rev. Marilyn Heishman will conduct a memorial service 10 a.m. Saturday at the Grandle Funeral Home Chapel in Broadway. Burial will be private.

The family will receive friends following the memorial service.

Memorial contributions may be made to Broadway Rescue Squad.

The body was cremated.
