Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Noveline Price, age 89, of Centerville have been set for 10AM, Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at the Centerville Cemetery. Rev. Buster Riley, pastor of the First Baptist Church in Centerville will officiate and interment will follow. A visitation will be held Tuesday evening, from 6 PM until 8PM at Walters Funeral Home. Noveline Price was born June 20, 1926 in Hull, Texas to Roy Vernon and Willie Mae (Webb) Price. She graduated high school in Terrell, Oklahoma at the age of fifteen. During World War II, the U.S. Army held classes in Military Nursing. Noveline was taking these classes when the Army discovered that she was only sixteen years old so she could not complete the training. She went to work for the draft board in Corsicana instead. Noveline and her husband, Glenn, moved to Centerville in 1954. She became a member of the first Baptist Church in Centerville. She was a homemaker, wife and mother. She was also a quilter and recognized for her abilities in that craft. She was the organizer of several of the quilt competitions in the Fourth of July activities. Noveline was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Glenn Price and two of her great grandsons, Nathen Price and Colt Justice McLeroy. Surviving family includes her son and daughter-in-law, Michael Lynn “Mike” Price (Joetta) of Centerville; daughter and son-in-law, Linda Price Walla (Ronnie) of Lake Limestone; grandchildren, Amanda Field (Jim Ed) of Abilene, Stephanie McLeroy (Tony) of Tyler, Jayson Winn (Dorothy) of Sugarland, Pamela Ogle of Centerville, Toby Winn of Marquez and Matt Winn (Katy) of Bryan and great grandchildren, Conner, Price, Jackson, Calee, Harrison, Madeline, Savannah, Addison, Evelyn, Chelsea, Tyler and Thomas. Honorary pallbearers: Gary Rosier, Jayson Winn, Toby Winn, Matt Winn, Jim Ed Field, Tony McLeroy and Price Payne. In lieu of flowers, the Price family requests that donations be made to the Centerville Volunteer Fire Department or to the Centerville Cemetery.
