Howard L Abrams
, of Homewood, Alabama, died Friday, January 10, 1997.

He was a member at First Baptist Church of Birmingham, and had served with the U.S. Army during WWII in the 22nd Infantry Division. He was retired from the Social Security Administration.

Survivors: wife, Irvin J. Abrams; son, Howard Abrams, Jr.; daughter-in-law, Rebecca D. Abrams; sisters, Marian A. Rhodes, Cecelia A. Nichols; sister-inlaw, Jean K. Abrams; granddaughter, Mary Katherine Abrams and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 14, at Ridout's Valley Chapel at 11:00 a.m. with burial at Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Monday evening. Memorials may be given to the First Baptist Church of Birmingham Building Fund.
