Nancy Lee Reitz, age 88, died Thursday, February 4, 2016. She was born in Boerne on January 13, 1928, to Judge Maurice J. Lehmann and Nancy Saunders Lehmann. She spent her early years in Brady, TX, Colorado and Oklahoma while her father was in the Army and later resettled in Boerne. In 1949, Nancy received her B.A. degree in Psychology from the University of Texas where she was a member of Delta Gamma Sorority.
She married John D. Reitz in 1949. When J.D. became a U.S. Air Force pilot, Nancy and their family traveled all over the world. She enjoyed the military life and enjoyed entertaining in her homes all over the world. After J.D. retired from the service, they moved to Boerne. She was a member of the Hill County CattleWomen, Kendall County Republican Women, and the local chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star. Nancy served many years as the Kendall County Election Judge and Election Clerk. She also enjoyed her bridge clubs, book circle and hosting parties with her friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J.D. Reitz, her parents and her brother. She is survived by one son and two daughters. Other survivors include her six grandchildren and four great-grand children.
