Michael “Mike” Wayne Hamblin 47, died Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2011, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. He was a carpenter and a Baptist. An avid hunter and fisherman, he loved his guns and cooking out.
Services will be at 11 a.m. today at Waters Funeral Home in Baldwyn with Bro. Johnny Hamblin officiating.
Survivors include his wife, Lynn Hamblin of New Albany; a daughter, Sammie Lee Easterling of Baldwyn; three brothers, Charlie Hamblin and Roger Hamblin of Baldwyn, and Rickey Hamblin; a sister, Shelia Hamblin of Iuka; grandchildren, Braden Hamm, Bricen Hamm, Raining Hamm, Rodney Joe Hamm, Nicholas James Hamm and Hedi Loyd; a number of nieces and nephews; and a special friend; Tommy Wilburn.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Gene and Nettie Hamblin, and a sister Donna Hamblin.
Pallbearers will be Charlie Hamblin, Ricky Hamblin, Tommy Wilburn, Josh Davis and Doug Floyd.
