Mr. Stewart was a native of Orange and lived in Turlock 35 years.
He was a civil service worker at El Toro Marine Corps Air Station until retiring in 1971.
He was an Army veteran of World War II, and fought in the Normandy, Northern France and Rhineland campaigns.
He enjoyed fishing and the outdoors.
He is survived by his children, Rita Bow of Missouri, and Cynthia Young of Ceres; brother, Mervin Stewart of Visalia; sister, Ethel May of Oklahoma; and five grandchil-dren and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife,Mary Stewart; and daughter, B. Diane Lee.
Private services. Burial at Lakewood Memorial Park, Hughson.
