He was a member of the Progressive Miners of America.
Surviving are one son, Louis; two daughters, Mrs. Rose Carnduff and Mrs. Lena Barlow, Springfield; also nine grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at the Vancil funeral home.
Burial was in Roselawn cemetery.
