Wife of Alanson E. Warner

FOUR SCORE YEARS AND TEN

Mrs. S.A. Warner died at 11:30 last night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. D. L. Bassett, 221 South Walnut street, at the ripe age of 93 years and twelve days. The funeral will be conducted from the house at 10 o'clock tomorrow morning by the Christian Science church, and intrement will be made in Iola cemetery.

Sallie Ann Acker was born in Groveland, N. Y., April 2, 1814. She was married in A. E. Warner and after living in Ohio for many years came to Iola in 1880. They resided on South Chestnut street for many years and seventeen years ago they moved to a farm west of the city, living with a daughter. In June 1890, Mr. Warner died and since then Mrs. Warner has resided with her daughter, Mrs. D. L. Bassett, for several years in Iola.

At the time of her death there were four generations of the family in town, Mrs. Warner , Mrs. Basett, and her two daughters, Mrs. C. L. Norton, of Chicago, and Mrs T. O. Dennison of this city, and five children of the two last named ladies.

Mrs. Warner has been an invalid for years, and has been absolutely helpless during the past year, her death several times being hourly expected. She was universally esteemed by all who knew her and the news that her "four score years and ten" of unwavering Christian living have ended will bring sadness to all her friends.
