Dale, 90, passed away at his home surrounded by his family and under the care of OneSource Hospice. He was the oldest of four brothers. Shortly after graduating from Twin Falls High School, he joined the Navy, serving during World Ward II as a Navy Seabee. After the war, he returned to Twin Falls where he had a life-long career as a meat cutter in several grocery stores. He was lucky enough to love and be loved by three amazing women. He married Phyllis on August 16, 1946. They had two children, Sally and Scott. Dale and Phyllis spent 40 years together until she passed away in 1987. Dale and Donna only had a few years together before she passed away in 1994. For the last 18 years, Dale’s constant companion was Louise Brown. She provided so much support, care, and love to him, especially in the last few months of his life. He had a large circle of friends, including his coffee group and his dinner club. Dale took up golf in his retirement and it became his passion. Survivors included: children Sally Colson and Scott (Diane) Atkinson; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; brothers Don (Helen), Dean (Bev), and Louis (Lillian) Atkinson; and his special friend Louise. Mass of Christian Burial held March 31 at Christ the King Catholic Church at 17th Street and Woodruff. His family requested memorial donations to One Source Hospice, 3544 E. 17th Street #201, Ammon, ID 83406.
