Death of Grandma Hubbell.
Mrs. Delilah Hubbell died in this city, at the home of her son, H.E. Hubbell, Friday, February 1, 1907, at 7:40 a.m., age 94 years, 5 months and 17 days.
Delilah Middelton was born in the state of North Carolina, August 14, 1812; moved with her parents to Indiana at the age of 15 years; was married to Oliver Hubbell in Owen county, Indiana, at the age of 22 years. There were born to this union two daughters and three sons, all of whom are still living. The husband and father passed to the beyond in the year 1873. Mrs. Hubbell came to Howard, Kansas in 1884, and with her son, John, has made this her home. She united with the Christian church at the age of 25 years.
The funeral was held at the Christian church in Howard, Saturday, February 2, at 11 a.m., the services being conducted by Elder Gilbert Park, the scripture l text being Ps. 9:16, "With long life will I satisfy him and show him my salvation."
