Mrs. Alma Lillian Brett died Thursday in a local hospital as a result of a lengthy illness. She was born in Briceland on November 2, 1901, and had been a resident of Humboldt County all of her life. She had been a nurse in this area for 20 years, spending the last four years at the Humboldt Community Hospital. A registered nurse, she was a member of the local nurse's association.
She is survived by her mother, Mrs. Eva Yates of Eureka; a daughter, Mrs. Betty Lou Wyatt; a son, Gerald L. Brett, both of Eureka; sisters, Mrs. Rose Keith of Mill Valley and Mrs. Nell Pomrose of Eureka, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 3:30 p.m. at the Pierce Mortuary with the Rev. Link officiating. Concluding services will be at Sunset Memorial Park.
