Louise was born on May 9, 1924 in Grand Junction, CO the first of five children born to Ira and Margaret E. Groves Mahany.
She married the love of her life, Ralph Bearce, on September 21, 1940 in Green River, Utah. Together they moved to Ogden, Utah to raise their family.
As a young mother committed to serving those in her community, Louise worked as a director for several years at the local YWCA.
She was also a very talented seamstress, and worked in the fabric department of The Bon Marche and in the alterations department of L.R. Samuels in Ogden. She owned and operated Louise’s Fabrics of North Ogden for many years. In addition to creating beautiful crafts, she made clothes for her family and excelled at all types of needlework, particularly knitting, and crochet. She passed her love of sewing, stitching, and creating to her daughters.
Of all the jobs she held in this life, Louise valued being a homemaker most. Her devotion to her husband, children, and extended family was evident the moment you entered her home. Her door was open to everyone, and she always looked forward to a good visit, especially from the children.
Louise always had a ready smile and a long, meaningful hug for those she loved. A hug from Louise left no doubt that you had been hugged. She adored her children and grandchildren, especially the babies, and never forgot to tell them how much she loved them. She dressed impeccably, and always had her hair and nails beautifully done, even into the last few months of her life. This world was made a brighter, more beautiful place by her presence here.
Louise is survived by her husband of 75 years, Ralph; son, Donald (Sandra); daughters, Charlotte (Larry) Beeson and Roberta (Lew) Wheelwright; 17 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren, two sisters, Irene (Robert) Gardiner and Jean Malan.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Harold; sister, Roberta; her son, Robert; and grandchildren, Jody Wheelright and grandson, Skye Peterson.
Interment Lindquist's Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Rd.
