KELLETT 17 October 1861 in Shelby County, Alabama. She was born Bef. 1844, and died Aft. 1870. He married (3) HESTER ANN CREASEY HELTON 26 June 1877 in Hill County, Texas. She was born 18 June 1839 in Blowing Green, Kentucky, and died 08 April 1919 in Cleburne, Johnson County, Texas.

NOTE: George served in Company B, 1st (Beall"s) Battalion, Alabama Cavalry, enlisting 5 Feb. 1862 at Cassetta, Alabama, in Chamber County (county east of Tallapoosa County. The unit later became the 8th (Wade's Regiment Confederate Cavalry. He was discharged in April 1865. Family tradition and official records list him as a teamster for the Regimental Quartermaster wagon train.

He lived in Jasper County, GA, Troup County, GA; Tallapossa County and Shelby County, AL; Lafayette County, MS; Trinity County, Texas; and Bosque County near Kopperl, Texas. The family moved for a time in about 1890 to Matador in Motley County in West Texas, where he homestead a half section of land, but returned to
Bosque County when a hail storm destroyed his cotton crop.
