Ethel Jean Marker, 73, Hayes, Kan., formerly of Brumley, died Thursday at Hayes Medical Center, St. Anthony's Campus, Hayes. She was born
March 27, 1918, in Ulman, a daughter of Edmond and Lena Hawkins Thornsberry.
She was married Dec. 17, 1939, in Clinton, to Ralph Marker, Who died Aug.23, 1979.
She was a resident of Harlingen, Texas, before moving to Hayes two years ago. She was a retired realtor and a member of the First Christian Church, Republican Women's Club, Toastmistress Club, and the Women's Realtor's Association, all of Harlingen.
Survivors include: one daughter, Karen Cecil, Hayes, Kan.; one brother, James L. Thornsberry, Brumley; and three grandchildren. One
daughter, Pamela Ann Brettain, died Nov. 5, 1989.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Ulman Christian Church.
The Rev. Gene Edwards will officiate. Burial will be in Hawkins Cemetery, Brumley. Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday at the church.
Memorials are suggested to Brettain-Marker Scholarship Fund for William Woods College, Fulton. Arrangements are uner the direction of Hedges Funeral Home, Camdenton.
