Dorothy F. Lyden (nee MacDougall), 90, of Avon Lake, Ohio, passed away on Dec. 31, 2015. She was born in Philadelphia, but was raised in Tunkhannock. Her father was a medical doctor and practiced for many years in Tunkhannock. Mrs. Lyden graduated from the prestigious Katherine Gibbs School in New York City and worked in Binghamton, N.Y. She and her husband lived in Boardman, Ohio, Basking Ridge, N.J., and Spring Hill, Fla.
Mrs. Lyden is survived by her daughters: Lorna Lyden of North Olmsted, Ohio, and Maureen Batt (Richard) of Avon Lake, Ohio. She is also survived by four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Arthur J. Lyden; parents: Dr. Lorne T. and Frances (nee Collins) MacDougall and her sister, Marion Lorne McGrath (Thomas).
A memorial mass was celebrated at Holy Spirit Church, Avon Lake, Ohio.
Interment was at St. John's Cemetery, Susquehanna.
