Norma Gayle Schrader Franks, age 81, passed away on March 10, 2016 at Methodist Hospital West, Katy surrounded by family and friends.

Gayle was born April 22, 1934 in Austin, Texas. She was adopted by Charles and Ruby Schrader when she was one day old. She graduated from Austin High School in 1951. She was married on September 11, 1951 to James E. Caffey. Children of this union were Catherine Gayle (Cathy), Gayel Janor (Jan) and Jim E.

Gayle grew up in Ward Memorial Methodist Church where she sang in the choir and was organist and pianist accompaniment on special occasions. She moved to Katy in 1960, and lived in the area the rest of her life.

Her wishes to her friends…."Do Not morn my passing as I was ready to meet my Lord and Savior, departed mother and father and many friends who have gone before me. Be happy and thankful of the time you have left, and make good use of it as long as you can. Remember the good times we all had together."

She is survived by her three children and their spouses, eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

A graveside service, with viewing will be held at Oakwood Cemetery, 1601 Navasota Street, Austin, Texas.
