Mrs. Jo Bivins Pollard, age 85, of Mableton, GA passed away Saturday March 12, 2015 in Atlanta, GA. Mrs. Pollard is survived by her son David.

She was predeceased by her husband Claude, three brothers Dillard, Claude and Charlie, and four sisters, Maudell, Dorene, Ruthelle and May.

Mrs. Pollard was born July 17, 1930 in Emerson, GA, the daughter of Ola Crowe and Joseph Bivins.

Mrs. Pollard lived in Emerson, GA until she was married in 1967. She moved to Norfolk, VA and lived until 1982 at which time she returned to Georgia. She was a beautician/hairdresser for 40 years. She enjoyed playing golf, walking and cooking.

She was a member of Macland Road Baptist Church in Powder Springs, GA. She was a faithful and loving wife of 47 years, a perfect role model as a mother, had a heart of gold, an incredible sense of humor, never met a stranger and she was a friend to many.

Mrs. Pollard’s graveside memorial service will be held at Georgia National Cemetery on Friday March 25 at 9am.
