Hugh Carol Brown, 76, of Wann, died 9 p.m. Saturday at St. John Medical Center in Tulsa.

Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Brown Family Cemetery near their home in Wann with Minister David Bycroft of Tyro Christian Church officiating. Graveside services and interment are under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home and Crematory.

Casket escorts include Steve, Gary, Richard, Dennis Matthews, Jerry Packard, Mike Selby, Justin, Travis Williams, Harley Matthews, Clint, Dustin Mills, Nathan Matthews, Kendal and Chet Mills.

Survivors include his wife, Frances L., of the home; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Steven Clay and Kathey Brown of Independence, Kan., Gary Edward and Pam Brown and Richard Clinton Brown all of Wann; two daughters and a son-in-law, Donna Carol Mills and Sandy Louise and Dennis Matthews of Independence, Kan.; 13 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Hugh Carol Brown, 76, resident of Wann, Oklahoma died at 9:00 PM on Saturday December 31, 2005, in the St. John Medical Center at Tulsa.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday at the Brown Family Cemetery near their home at Wann, Oklahoma with Minister David Bycroft of Tyro Christian Church officiating. Graveside services and interment will be under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory.

Casket escorts will include; Steve Brown, Gary Brown, Richard Brown, Dennis Matthews, Jerry Packard, and Mike Selby. Honorary casket escorts will include; Justin Brown, Travis Williams, Harley Matthews, Clint Brown, Dustin Mills, Nathan Matthews, Kendal Brown and Chet Mills.

Mr. Brown was born August 2, 1929 at Bartlesville, Oklahoma to Holmes A. and Hazel (Brady) Brown. He attended elementary school at the St. John Catholic School and graduated from College High School in 1947. Mr. Brown was married to Frances Louise Packard on May 1, 1948 at Bartlesville they have made their home in the Bartlesville area all their lives. Mr. Brown was a farmer and was self employed in custom haying operations for many years. He enjoyed raising his family, fishing and woodworking.

Survivors include his wife Frances L. Brown of the home; three sons Steven Clay Brown and his wife Kathy of Independence, Kansas, Gary Edward Brown and his wife Pam and Richard Clinton Brown all of Wann, Oklahoma; two daughters Donna Carol Mills and Sandy Louise Matthews and her husband Dennis of Independence, Kansas; thirteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Mr. Brown was preceded in death by his parents.
