Visitation will be Sunday, March 13, 2016, from 2:00 pm until 9:00 pm at the Old Anacoco Baptist Church.
Charles, the son of Charlie and Louise Harmon, was born March 19, 1945 in Vicksburg, MS. He passed away March 11, 2016 at his residence in Hornbeck.
He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents Oscar and Bessie Stephens; sister Cheryl Smith Dick and step granddaughter Crystal Crews.
Charles retired from Ft Polk after 40 years of service at the Boiler Shop/exterior plumbing shop. He was an avid hunter and loved the New York Yankees. Charles was very active within the youth sports in Hornbeck. He was a co-founder of the Little Dribblers in Vernon Parish. He coached Little Dribblers and youth baseball for many. He helped start the Hornbeck Optimist Club. His passion was his family; he loved spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Ann Harmon of Hornbeck; sons, Pat and wife Debra Harmon of Dublin, TX and Chris and wife Krista Harmon of Hornbeck, Daughter; Melissa and husband Billy Madden of West Lake, LA; Sister Charlene Snider of Hornbeck; Grandchildren, Stevie Harmon, Sharron Madden, Trinity Harmon, Johnathan Harmon, Brooke Harmon, Tara Corley, Hunter Harrington, Kyle Fruge and Lexi Wesson; Great Grandchildren, Colton West, Harley West, McKenzie Welch, Kristian Welch, Cannon Corley and Bryson Harmon.
