Otis was a member, deacon, and song director of the Itasca First Baptist Church. He was known as the best fiddle player in Hill County. He grew up in Iverson; after marriage lived 32 years in Rockwall community and moved to Itasca in 1965. He worked 16 years for Hill Co. Pct#4 and 14 years at Hill Co. Electric.
Survivors: Wife, Pearl England, Itasca; daughter and son-in-law, Anna Dean and Bob Warden of Burleson; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
