Dave Chisum was the son of William Eads and Norah Belle Mahan Chisum. He was the 10th of 11 children and the youngest son. He married Eula Anderson in January 1931, but they divorced in late October-early November 1934. He later married Pearl Belle Todd. He had no children.
Dave served in the Pacific during World War II and saw many horrible battles. He came back with what we would today call Post-Traumatic Stress Syndrome; back then they had neither a name nor a treatment for it. I don't think he ever fully recovered.
