Jimmy Hugh "Sonny" Densford Jr., 54, of Millington, died on Sept. 20, 2006 at his residence. A graveside service was conducted Sept. 23 at Bethuel Cemetery in Millington. Munford Funeral Home Millington Chapel had charge. Mr. Densford was a gifted landscaper and received numerous awards for landscaping in the Mid-South area, and was named the 2001 Tennessee Businessman of the Year. He was a member of the Association of Turf & Ornamental Managers, and a member of Kerrville Faith Assembly of God. He also served as Honorary Chairman of the National Republican Congressional Committee Business Advisory Council. He was a 1970 graduate of Christian Brothers High School, and attended the University of Mississippi. Mr. Densford leaves his wife, Billie Katherine Densford; one daughter, Kae McCreery Williams; two sons, Jeffrey Alan Densford and Barry Edward Densford; his mother, Helen (Sissy) Densford; one brother, Daniel Alan Densford; and two grandchildren, Jonathon Lane Densford and Haley Elizabeth Williams. In lieu of flowers, the family requests any memorials be sent to the Biblical Resource Center & Museum of Collierville, or to Kerrville Assembly of God Church, 9540 Hwy. 51 N, Millington, Tenn. 38053.
