An Oklahoma native, Iris June Rickman was born on June 14, 1937 in Bartlesville. She was the daughter of the late, Clarence Earl "C.E." and Nannie Lottie (VanHorn) Rickman. June was reared and received her education in the Bartlesville schools, and graduated with the Senior class of 1955 from the Bartlesville College High School. She and William Ray Puckett were united in marrieage October 8, 1955 in Bartlesville and they made their home here. June began delivering newspapers for the Tulsa World, which she did for 15 years prior to her joining the Bartlesville Examiner Enterprise for a total of over 30 years of delivery service in the community.
Mrs. Puckett is survived by her husband William Ray of the Bartlesville home; four sons, Bradley Puckett, Tim and his wife Cissy Puckett, Tony and his wife Pat Puckett, and Christopher and his wife Laura "DeDe" Puckett, all of Bartlesville; a sister, Mrs. Betty Rose Puckett, Bartlesville; five grandsons, Jason, Laren, and his wife Maria, Jason and his wife, Amy VanAtta, Ryan and Bradley; one granddaughter, Lisa and her husband Justin Mitchell; two great grandsons and three great granddaughters. Preceding her in death were her father; mother; three brothers, Clarence Earl "Pough" Rickman, Jay Dean Rickman and Jeack Earl Rickman; a sister Miss Fronia Mae Rickman and an infant sister.
