A Graveside service will be held at 2:30 PM on Sunday, March 13, 2016 at the Lott Cemetery in Foxworth, for Reuben Reed Blackwell, 83, of Marion County, who died Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at Lamar Health & Rehab in Lumberton. Rev. Tim Bass will officiate the service.
As a lifetime resident of Marion County, Mr. Reuben worked most of his life as a carpenter. He served our nation faithfully in United States Army during the Korean War.
Mr. Blackwell was preceded in death by his Parents, Will & Ollie Blackwell; two Brothers, Sidney Blackwell, Willie Blackwell; and one Sister, Vester McKenzie.
He is survived by his Daughter, Rebecca Blackwell Brown; his Son, Richard Blackwell; one Sister, Iris Fortner, Foxworth; and numerous Nieces & Nephews.
