SPRINGDALE - James Columbus Seals, 86, of Springdale, Ark., died March 8, 2016, at the Willard Walker Hospice Home in Fayetteville, Ark. He was born Jan. 30, 1930, at Hobart, Okla., the son of Charlie Columbus and Sarah Jewell Stills Seals.

He had retired from the United States Navy after 21 years of service as a Chief Hospital Corpsman and was a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam wars. He attended Living Water Baptist Church in Huntsville and was a member of the American Legion and the Rose Society. He enjoyed rose gardening, woodworking and reading.

He was preceded in death by his wives, Joyce Everett Seals and Nina Bowlin Seals, one son, David Seals, one grandson, Justin Harmon and one great-grandson, Landon Hollowell. Survivors include: one son, Mark Seals of Fayetteville, Ark.; four daughters,
Yolanda Gage and husband, Bill of Omaha, Ark., Cindy Pinkley and fiancee Wayne Mussino of Tontitown, Ark., Kathy Harmon and husband, Danny of Springdale, Ark., and Becca Ceola and husband, David of Rogers, Ark.; the mother of his children, Evelyn Seals of Springdale, Ark.; one brother, Mack Seals of Winslow, Ark.; one sister, Dorothy Davis of Springdale, Ark.; 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 12, in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home with The Reverend Gary Faulkner officiating. Interment will be in the Upper Campground Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home www.brashearsfuneralhome.net of Huntsville, Ark.. Pallbearers will be: Jason Fitzgerald, John Fitzgerald, Justin Pinkley, Nathan Wood, Payton Wood, Jeremy Harmon, Brad Hollowell and Skyler Ceola.
