Mrs. Florence Beesley, 70, of 416 West State Street, died Saturday in Elgin after a long illness. She was born in Batavia, September 27, 1893.
Surviving are one son, Stanley; three sisters, Mrs. Sema [sic, recte Selma] Melby, North Aurora; Mrs. Emma Stark, Batavia; and Mrs. Millie [sic] Everhart of Zephyr Hills, Florida.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. in the Johnson Funeral Home, Batavia. The Rev. Gustav A. Lund officiated, and burial was in West Batavia Cemetery.
