TARTER, ROSALEEN "ROSIE" (BASHAM), 76, formerly of High Plains, KY, passed away on August 12, 2013.

Those who knew her, knew true friendship; those who loved her, knew true love.

Rosie is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Walter "Bud" Tarter; daughters, Deb Shipman (Oscar), Jeanene Whittaker (Tom); son, Scott Tarter; granddaughters, Amy Minton (Jason), Mary Beth Bramer and Leah Tarter; and great-grandchildren Jocelyn and Mason Minton. Also left to cherish her memory are numerous nieces and nephews including Patricia Belcher (Ricky) and Sarah Stallings (Anthony).

Visitation noon to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway. Funeral service will be Thursday at 1p.m. at the funeral home with interment in Louisville Memorial Gardens, West. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Cancer Society or Wounded Warriors Project.
