Funeral services for Dorothy (Partlow) Johnson were held on Monday, April 16, 1984 at the Bethany Lutheran Church in Minneapolis. She died at the age of 65 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital where she had been fighting a battle with leukemia. Dorothy was born to William E. and Mae Partlow in Bartlett Township in Todd County where they lived on a farm east of Bertha. She attended District 42 country school and high school at Bertha High. She worked for the elder Dr. Christie and wife of Long Prairie.
On August 21, 1947 she was united in marriage to Hilding Johnson of Minneapolis at the Clarissa Methodist church . They made their home in Minneapolis. In this marriage, she acquired 2 step daughters Beverly McGee and Carolyn Flowers both of Michigan whom who loved very much.
Hilding died in 1969. Dorothy worked in the insurance department at Deaconess hospital in Minneapolis for 25 years until she retired last year. She is survived by her 2 daughters, grandchildren and great grandchildren, 4 sisters, Florence, Hazel, Ethel, Myrtle, 2 bothers, Archie and Clifford and a host of nieces and nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, mother and an infant brother, Milton, a twin to Hazel.
