Mary Kay Adams-Burnworth, 59, of Texico, died March 4, 2016 in her home.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 9, 2016 in Seitz Funeral Home, Moweaqua.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, March 8, 2016, also in the funeral home.

Burial will be in Adams-Gorden Cemetery, Moweaqua. Memorials may be made to Celtic Hospice Care.

Mary was born September 4, 1956 in Decatur, IL, the daughter of Isome and Phyllis (Day) Adams. She married Kenneth P. Burnworth, October 4, 1993 in Union City, TN. He survives.

Mary was employed by Crossroads Community Hospital as an Environmental Specialist for 8 years and Durham School Service driving a bus for about 2 months and then turning ill with ovarian cancer.

Mary enjoyed spending time outside with her dogs and watching the hummingbirds from her deck, taking long trips to different states on motorcycles with her husband visiting friends and new places. Mary also enjoyed all the time she could get with her daughters and grandchildren.

Mary had a very hard, almost 2 year fight with ovarian cancer. She stayed strong to the very end. She will be greatly missed.

Surviving are her husband, Kenneth; daughters: Tami (Jeff) Gaither of Moweaqua and Pennie Stiner of Bulpitt; Grandchildren: Ashley, Baylee, Neelie, Austyn, Shaylie and Aryonna; brothers: Gene (Pat) Adams of Moweaqua, Lee (Debbie) Adams of Oreana, Paul (Deanne) Adams of Allenville, Bill Adams of Moweaqua, Tom (Lori) Adams of Warrensburg and Wayne Adams of Macon; sister, Betty (Dale) Klay of Stonington.

Preceding her in death are her parents and brothers Isome and Jim Adams.
