On March 4, 2016, Daddy went home to be with the Lord and was reunited with his family in Heaven.

Andy was born Nov. 21, 1922, in Rockport, W.Va., to Forrest and Emma Zellea (Knapp) Anderson.

He served in the Navy during World War II. Andy was a fireman for the railroad between Parkersburg and Charleston. He drove for Greyhound in Charleston and was a long distance truck driver for Roadway Express. Andy was a member of Milhon Ridge Baptist Church. He loved remodeling, woodworking and watching westerns.

Andy will be deeply missed by his two daughters, Joyce Geer and Janet (Ron) Friesenhengst, all of Belleville; two granddaughters, Sherri (Bill) Morrison of Belleville and Mandy (Todd) Holshouser of Rockwell, N.C.; three grandsons, John (Kira) Geer of Kansas City, Mo., Daniel (Erika) Friesenhengst of Ironton, Ohio, and Adam Friesenhengst of Kanapolis, N.C.; 19 great grandchildren, Tony, Amber, Drew, Hunter, Greysen, Aubrey, Madison, Lane, Alivia, Paige, Haven, Erin, Sylyna, Samantha, Katlyn, Jordan, Kynlee, Aleigha and Briana; and many nieces and nephews.

Andy was preceded in death by his parents, wife Ruth of 70 years; son-in-law, John; brother, Bert; and sisters, Oma, Freda and Edith.

Visitation will be Tuesday, March 8, 2016, from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Parkersburg. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 8, 2016, at the funeral home with Pastor Ronald Stephens officiating. Interment will be at Sunset Memory Gardens.
