Served in the FREDDIE LEE WOODS, SR. "Uptight" Age 81 years, of Gary, Indiana, passed away at Methodist Hospital Northlake Campus on Friday, August 20, 2004. Freddie was a proud veteran of the United States Navy. He retired from U.S. Steel Corp. in 1985. He was preceded in death by his wife, Josephine Woods, 3 brothers, sons, Paul E. Woods, Freddie L. Woods Jr. and Bobby D. Woods. He leaves to cherish his memory, sister, Ella Mae Clay of Grenada, MS; daughters, Birda J. Harris, Yvonne (Jackie) Barnes, Jo-Ann Woods, Ella Mae Woods, LaDonna Woods, all of Gary, IN; sons James R. Woods of Benton Harbor, MI, Tom B. Woods of Lake Providence, LA, Ted A. Woods and William L. (Annetta) Woods of Gary, IN; 4 sisters-in-law, Katie (James) Curry of Gary, IN, Rudell Mister of Chicago, IL, Jessie Lee Taylor of Grenada, MS, Lovie (Katie) Mayhew of Gary, IN; brother-in-law Mack Mister Jr. of Gary, IN; 9 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; special friend, Denise (Dee) Terry; and a host of other relatives and friends.
