Howard M. Adkins, 87, of Noblesville, passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at Riverview TCU. He was born on June 5, 1928 to Melvin and Pearl (Randall) Adkins in Somerset, Kentucky.


Howard worked as a Personnel Placement Analyst for AT&T (formerly Western Electric), retiring in 1983. He was a member of Cicero Christian Church, and had a great love for God, his family, and his family of God. Howard loved the game of golf, and enjoyed the senior group at Fox Prairie. He and his wife enjoyed traveling, and collected over 100 score cards from the golf courses they played.


Howard is survived by his wife, Jane Adkins; granddaughter, Kelly (John) Stewart; four great-granddaughters; three great-great-grandsons; and two great-great-granddaughters.


In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Charlotte Wilson; one grandson; and one great-great-grandson. Howard was the last one living of 9 children, as six sisters and two brothers also preceded him in death.


Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Sunday, March 6, 2016 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan Street, in Noblesville. Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, March 7, 2016 at Cicero Christian Church, 1715 Stringtown Pike, in Cicero with visitation from 1:00 pm. Pastor Adam Colter, Dr. Steven Hancock, and Elder Mike Jenkins will officiate. Burial will be at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.
