Jere is the beloved husband of Carol for 54 wonderful years; loving father of Michael (Laura) Dolph of Northville and John (Amy) Dolph of Midland; proud grandfather of Cameron, Sarah, Paige and Christopher. Mr. Dolph is also survived by his siblings, Dale (Marlene) Dolph of Milan and Mary Price of Milan and many loving extended family and friends.
Sadly, he is preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Martha Dolph and his brother-in-law, Rayburn Price.
Born on December 10, 1934 in Ann Arbor, Michigan, Jere graduated from Ypsilanti High School in 1953. Following his service to his country in the US Army, he graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a B.A. in 1965 and an M.B.A. in 1972. Following his retirement from Ford Motor Company after 45 1/2 years of service in a position in Labor Relations, Ford Customer Service Division and Ford Parts and Service Division. Jere's passion was to give back to the community in many ways including as a Little League coach, Cub Scout and Weblos leader. Also he sat on the Board of Education for Van Buren Public Schools and on the DDA board of directors in the Van Buren Charter Township. He also had a passion for collecting diecast model cars. He truly enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Visiting hours have been arranged for Monday from 5 until 8 p.m. and will continue Tuesday 2 until 8 p.m.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 9th at the David C. Brown Funeral Home. A visiting hour will be held at 10 a.m. until the time of service.
Interment will follow at Hillside cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Michigan Heart & Vascular Institute on the campus of St. Joseph Mercy Hospital, Ann Arbor.
