Mr. Cox was the widower of Dolly Belk Cox and the son of the late William H. and Eliza Johnson Cox; he was a U.S. Army veteran and served in the Korean War; of the Christian faith and a retired residential building contractor.
Mr. Cox was known as an extremely talented and skilled woodworker. He had an unmatched eye for detail and was well known for the custom and one of a kind beds and furniture he designed and built. He also loved working on the farm and being with his horses and dogs.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Ollie C. Robinette.
