Mrs. Lawrence (Cleath Prather) Gatgewood, 65, of Flora died Saturday afternoon in St. Anthony Memorial Hospital, Effingham.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Cardescio Funeral Home, Flora, where friends may call after 3 p.m. Monday. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Flora.
Mrs. Gatewood was born in Edgewood. She married Lawrence “Bud” Gatewood in 1948.
She leaves her husband; daughters, Mrs. Robert (Nora) Steele of Edgewood; Mrs. Arthur (Judy) Snell of Flora; brother, Ray Prather of Murphysboro; sisters, Mrs. Edith Gillespie and Mrs. Alberta Hite, both of Edgewood; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
