Helen M. Buckley, 89, of Sarnia, Ontario, formerly of Port Huron, died Monday, March 10, 2003 in Sarnia. She was born June 24, 1913 in Burtchville Twp. and lived in the area of most of her life. She married Alexander Brooks. He died March 14, 1950. She married Alonzo McEachen. He died Aug. 31, 1972. She married Clifford Buckley. He died Dec. 6, 2001.
Mrs. Buckley was a member of the Women of the Moose Chapter #99 in Port Huron and the League of Catholic Women in Sarnia.
She is survived by her son, Ronald A. (Esther) Brooks of Jacksonville, FL; daughter, Marilyn A. Borowski and Jim Kroetsch of Fort Gratiot; son, Richard P. (Sandy) Brooks of North Carolina; and daughter, Dana M. (Robert) Heath of Sarnia, Ontario; many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Marjorie L. McNeil on July 17, 1993 and son, Fredrick C. Brooks in 1939.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Mary Catholic Church. The Rev. Mathew George, Associate Pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery. A Scripture Service will be said at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
