Mrs. Basham, a resident of Toledo Bend, LA, died Thursday June 16, 2005 in Bossier City, LA. She was born in the Linton Community in Bossier Parish, LA and was a former resident of Benton, LA. Mrs. Basham was a retired legal secretary and a member of Cypress Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Lela Jones; son, Don Gardner; brother, Milton Jones; and grandson Matthew Stevenson.
She is survived by her husband, A. C. "Red" Basham of Toledo Bend; daughters, Beverly Cash of Blanchard, LA; Sue Fawcett and husband, Dick of Benton, LA; stepdaughter, Peggy Porter of Orlando, FL; stepsons, James Basham of Daffney, AL, David Basham of Bossier City, LA; sisters, Mildred Smith of Bossier City, LA, Johnnie May Crouch of Haughton, LA, Bobbie Kersh of Jackson, MS, Mary Kajar of Kingwood, TX; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
