Freddie Eugene Barrett, age 67, of Lincolnton, was a son to the late Purvis and Vernie Sipe Barrett. He was preceded in death by sisters, Faye Barrett and Sue Carroll; brothers, Billy Barrett and Lawrence Barrett.
Mr. Barrett was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a machinist with Bosch Tools and after retirement he spent his time as a security specialist with SIS. Freddie enjoyed sports and touched numerous lives through coaching, but inspired many with his love for fast pitch softball. He was an avid fan of the Tar Heels and the Panthers.
Interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
