He was born July 17, 1914, son of Western H. and Margie Cornell Brown at Georgetown, Pa.
During most of his early life, Mr. Brown lived in Ohio.
On Jan. 7, 1939 in Morgantown, W. Va., he married the former Anna Margaret Dorror, who now teaches in the Whitesboro school system.
Mr. Brown was the author of "The Life of Brigadier General John McCousland," and articles on supervision for educational bulletins.
Besides his wife, he leaves a daughter, Ann, 15; two sons, James, 13 and Robert, 3; four sisters, Mrs. Garnette Nace, Buchanan, Va.; Mrs. Gladys Zepp, Cleveland, Ohio: Mrs. Joanna Gage, Hartford, Conn., and Mrs. Letha Bamer, Pittsburgh, Pa., and a half-brother, Robert H. Brown, Charlestown, W. Va., and several nieces and nephews.
