Richard (Dick) Lee Howell of Waukee, 68, passed away at Taylor House on February 23, 2016.
Dick, son of Virgil and Peggy Howell, was born April 26, 1947 in Kansas City, Missouri. After graduating from Belton High School, he attended Metropolitan Junior College in Kansas City, Missouri and later worked as a salesman.
Dick enjoyed his grandchildren, his flower gardens, his little dog Lily, and watching the Cyclones play.
He is remembered by his wife of 47 years, Peggy Howell; their daughters, Tiffany (Steve) Graham and Jennifer (A.J.) Russo; grandchildren, Jordan and Noah Graham, Connor and Cassidy Russo; his brother, Gerald (Sharilyn) Howell of Olympia, Washington; sisters Brenda Neff of Belton, Missouri and Gretchen (Wally) Howell-Weir of Blue Springs, Missouri.
Dick was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held Friday, February 26, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Hamilton’s on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway in West Des Moines, IA. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Dick will be buried at the Masonic Cemetery.
