Hunter Christian Albee, 17, passed away Monday, Nov. 16, 2015, at his home.

Hunter was born in Waterbury on Sept. 18, 1998, beloved son of Denny and Laura (Sataline) Albee. He was an honor student at Holy Cross High School where he received awards in world history, geometry and English. He loved astronomy and was always seen gazing at the stars. He wanted to be an astronaut and dreamed of being on the first missions to Mars. Hunter was also a three-sport varsity letterman for the Crusaders. He excelled in football, wrestling and baseball. He loved Holy Cross High School.

Hunter had many hobbies. He was a history buff and an avid outdoorsman. He was a survivalist and enjoyed building shelters. He was a leader and award winner for the Outward Bound Survivalist Camp. He enjoyed rock climbing, was a N.Y. Yankees fan, and loved going to flea markets with his family. He was a huge fan and follower of Donald Trump and Pete Rose.

Besides his father and mother of Southbury, he leaves his sister, Taylor Therese Albee of Southbury; his maternal grandmother, Therese Reckmack Sataline of Cheshire; his aunt, Suzanne Sataline of Brooklyn, N.Y.; and his extended family of Cheshire and Edmond, Okla. He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Dr. Lee Sataline.

Hunter's parents and sister were honored to be part of his life. He fought a good fight and is now free.

Arrangements: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 6:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 23, in the Holy Cross High School auditorium, 587 Oronoke Road, Waterbury 06708. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
