Mr. Almoney was born in York on May 30, 1931, the son of the late Wilbur R. and Mamie E. (Ehrhart) Almoney. He worked for Mason Dixon Truck Lines and retired from York County Parks.
He was a member of Red Lion American Legion, a life member of Steam-O-Rama, and enjoyed playing cards and country music. He served in The US Army during the Korean War.
Mr. Almoney leaves four sons, Jack H. Almoney, Jr. and his wife Eileen of Windsor, Anthony A. “Andy” Almoney and his wife Wanda of Red Lion, Todd Almoney and his wife Christy of Wrightsville, and Troy Almoney and his wife Dotti of Windsor; a daughter, Nadine Laucks and her husband Edward Paules of Red Lion; 12 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; a brother, Harry Almoney of Hellam; and nieces and nephews.
Burial in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens in York with full military honors by York County Veterans Honor Guard.
