Charles was born Aug. 2, 1932 in East Berlin, the son of the late John L. and Frances D. (Strausbaugh) Moore.
Charles retired from Conewago Enterprises Inc, Edgegrove, in 1997. He enjoyed hunting. Charles was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Charles was always active with projects and work even after his retirement.
In addition to his wife Mary, Charles is survived by a daughter Deborah Blauch of Palmyra; a son Philip Moore of New Oxford; a daughter Barbarah Walker of Hanover; a daughter Jacqueline Heffner of Windsor; a daughter Christine Williams of Spring Grove; a son Kenneth Moore of New Oxford; a son Patrick Moore of York; a daughter Michelle Day of Hanover; and a son Noah Speelman of Hanover; 15 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and a brother Karl Moore of Hanover. Charles was predeceased by a daughter Stacey E. Hamaker; six brothers, George, John, Joseph, Raymond, Leo and Kenneth Moore; and four sisters, Pauline Shermeyer, Dorothy Hockensmith, Theresa Todt and Mary Agnes Little.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2016 at 11 a.m. from Feiser Funeral Home Inc, 302 Lincolnway West, New Oxford. Burial will be in New Oxford Cemetery. A viewing will be held Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2016 at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Memories may be shared at www.feiserfuneralhome.com.
