Alphons Stocklin Services Tuesday
Funeral services are to be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday from the Holland and Bonine Funeral Home for Alphons Justine Stocklin, 57, of San Francisco.
Mr. Stocklin failed to appear for work Friday with the McKay radio station in San Francisco, and upon investigation, it found that he apparently died of natural causes during his sleep.
Born Sept. 17, 1896, in Havre, Mr. Stocklin had served as wireless operator aboard the battleship USS Texas in World War I.
At one time he was employed as operator with the Great Northern Railway Company in Havre but for many years worked with the San Francisco radio station as technician.
Burial will be made here beside his father, Adolph Stocklin, who died in 1934.
Surviving relatives of Mr. Stocklin, who was not married, include his mother, Mrs. Emma Stocklin, and a brother, Bud, of Havre, a second brother, Walter, at Kalispell, and sisters, Mrs. James Martin, Kalispell, Mrs. Bertha Wallace and Mrs. Ellis Slater, Los Angeles, and Mrs. Ralph Newlin in Ilinois.
