The funeral for Mrs. Hester Mae Derrick, 75, of Elkview, will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in Hafer Funeral Home at Elkview. Burial will be in Elk Hills Memorial Park at Big Chimney. Mrs. Derrick, a lifelong resident of Kanawha County, died Oct 22, 1969, at Staats Hospital, Charleston. She was the daughter of Uriah and Lydia (Rucker) Young. Survivors include her husband, William W.; sons, Albert of Elkview Chester of Charleston, Wyatt of Charlotte, N.C., Otis, Bill and James of Charleston, S.C.; daughter Mrs. Louise Hoover of Blue Creek; brother Ernest Young of Elkview; sisters Mrs. Bertha Hayes and Edith Young of Elkview.
