Alecia Ruth Dotts, 46, passed away on February 24, 2016 in Indianapolis. She was born on November 14, 1969 in Indianapolis to John Lee Welch and Viola (Smith) Welch.
She loved spending time with friends.
Survivors include her father, John Welch; daughters, Elizabeth Karys Messenger and Haleigh Bowen; siblings, Dereatha Ramsey, Patricia Davis, Gwen Welch, Bessie Smith, Joyce Sons, Richy Allen Welch and Reginald Epperson; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Ricky Welch and Linda Epperson; her step-father, George Welch, who was like a father to the girls; and her step-mother, Verna Welch.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at 12:00 noon at Grinsteiner Funeral Home, Indianapolis. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, February 29 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood, Indiana.
