Marsha Arnsmeyer Randell, peacefully passed from this earthly life into Heaven, Saturday, February 20, 2016.

A celebration of life will be at 11:30 am, Saturday, February 27, 2016 at First Baptist Church in Columbia . Visitation will be from 10 to 11:30 am, Saturday at the Church.

Ms. Randell was born in Kennett, MO on November 10, 1952 to Glenda Lucille (Randell) Cook and Jack Calvin Cook.

She was nurtured and loved by her grandparents, James Everett Randell and Hattie Jane (Thompson) Randell in Wardell, MO where she attended grades 1-8. A graduate of Pattonville High School in St. Louis, Marsha attended Southwest Baptist College at Bolivar, MO for two years.

Ms. Randell married Lloyd G. Arnsmeyer in 1972. They lived in OK, TX, FL and MO before divorcing in 1989. Nicole Danielle Arnsmeyer was born in Houston, TX in 1980. Then Jon Mark Arnsmeyer was born in 1983 in Gainsville, FL.

Marsha Randell completed her BA at Stephens College in Early Childhood Education, and obtained her M.ED at the University of Missouri-Columbia. Pat Jenkins and Carol Gilles were her closest advisors and mentors. She taught elementary students in Moberly Schools and Columbia Public Schools. She had the opportunity to Mentor and teach in the MU Fellowship Program. She served as a literacy coach for CPS. In 2014 Ms. Randell retired after 24 years in public schools.

Faith in God was highly important to Marsha's life. Because she moved a lot, she was a member of Wardell Nazarene Church, Fee Fee Baptist Church, Putnam City Baptist Church, First Baptist Midland, TX, South Main Baptist Church Houston, TX, First Baptist Gainesville, FL and First Baptist Moberly, MO. Most recently she was the part time director of Children's Ministry at First Baptist Columbia, MO. She was a member of Memorial Baptist and is currently a member of First Baptist Columbia, MO. In every faith community she made friends she kept thru the years, and each one contributed to the depth of her love for God.

Marsha loved photography, flowers, nature and children. She enjoyed making photo cards t send for encouragement. Reading, writing, gardening and travel were significant past-time activities.

Marsha is survived by her deeply beloved children Nichole Arnsmeyer and Jon Mark Arnsmeyer, along with her daughter-in-law Carline Arnsmeyer of Kansas City; her Aunt Kathern La Verne Keiser of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; several cousins, Bill C., Cindy, Susan, Richard, Jim, Sharon, Brenda, Maribell, Bill, Linda, Mike, Kevin, Bill K., Randy K; her best friend Cindy Giovanini; her New Haven Elementary teacher friends, and many, many other friends.

The family requests no flowers. Instead, please make tax-deductible donations to First Baptist Church Lighting Fund.
