Beth was born in Corvallis, Oregon. She is survived by one sister, Judy Ball of Hillsboro, and two children, John Baer of Bend and Elaine Roper of Salem. Also, she had five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.
Beth went to LaGrande to earn a teaching degree and worked in a home where she earned her board, room and a small amount of money.

After graduation, she got a job teaching third grade at Kenwood Elementary in Bend, where she stayed for three years.

Beth met and married Fred Baer and moved to Redmond, where they lived for more than 20 years. Fred passed away in 1993, after they moved to Salem.

On May 10, 1997, she married Earnest Britton in Salem. Earnest passed in December 2013.

At her request, no services will be held. Internment will be at Willamette National Cemetery.
