Married to Michael Anderson on 29 September 1867 at Brownsville, Linn, Oregon, divorced in 1890, Gilliam County, Oregon. Children: Frederick Arthur Anderson, Effie Anderson & Charles Arthur Anderson.
Later married to James L. (Alonzo) Farnsworth in 1895, Oregon.

FRIDAY HABOR, Dec. 31-- Mrs. James Farnsworth, pioneer resident of San Juan Island, passed away at the home of her son, Fred Anderson, in Seattle, Monday, and funeral services were held there Wednesday. Mrs. Farnsworth was well known among pioneers. Her husband preceded her in death.

*****While searching for death date on husband, James Farnsworth, have found he was alive when 1900 census taken in Portland, Oregon on June 12, 1910, but showing he was deceased by time 1911 Portland Directory was published. Believe date to be around 11 October 1900 time at Portland, Oregon. Melvina moved to Washington State after death of husband to be near two of her Anderson sons.
