ROBERT P. ANKIEWICZ, SR.
AGE 68 YEARS
UNITED STATES MARINE CORPS VETERAN
Robert passed away unexpectedly on Saturday February 20th at the Beverly Hospital after an ongoing battle with cancer.
Born and raised in Chelsea he was a beloved son of the late Edward S. Ankiewicz and Emma B. (Butt) Mulieri.
Robert attended Chelsea Schools.
He enlisted in the USMC during the Vietnam Era and was honorably discharged.
He returned to Chelsea and married MaryAnn Ballero.
Robert supported his family as a union pipefitter, working in the HVAC industry.
A Peabody resident for the past 20 years, he also resided in Everett and Saugus.
He was a hardworking man and longtime member of the Pipefitters Union, Local 537 in Boston.
In his lifetime he enjoyed time with family and socializing friends meeting daily at the Lake St. Dunkin Donuts in Peabody.
The beloved husband for the past 44 years to MaryAnn F. (Ballero) Ankiewicz,
he was also the devoted father of Robert P. Jr. of Fayetteville NC, John of Peabody, Edward of Andover and Jennifer of Peabody.
Cherished grandfather of 4.
Dear brother of Marilyn of Westwood, Barbara of Indialantic FL. and Edward of Lynn and Nalcrest FL.
Interment at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
